wee baby j - spied a magpie on the roof of the hanover centre. a pixie toddler in his nordic knitwear!

o-o - 'repairing' the balance bike. few things gladden my heart like the sight of these two playing together in the early autumn afternoon sunshine. this photo was taken in the same spot at the start of the summer.

wee baby j - our little champ was in hospital on tuesday for an operation, he's feeling much more chirpy now after a sore and groggy few days. here he is giving himself a well deserved round of applause. 

o-o - pre-breakfast stories on a school-morning. bed head hair and space pyjamas essential.

i've just updated my 'about' page on etsy. i had to take some selfies because, as it turns out, i have hardly any photos of myself. my mum was in stitches helping me chose which one to use; 'not that one, it makes you look miserable', 'that one makes you look quite arty' and, most hilariously 'that one with the chubby face reminds me of someone but i can't think who'...um, you in the seventies mum! very much enjoying my new fairisle sweater, yay for orange on a autumnal day.

o-o - on first day of school, he was the recipient of a head teacher's award sticker. we are so proud of you o-o!

last week i liked a worm. i'm taking part in the 52 project, you can see all my 52 posts here and my three/52 selection here. sorry for neglecting the blog, my mind and time have been elsewhere what with a dose of mastitis, the start of school, a graphic design job with a looming deadline and welcoming (via skype so far but i'm hoping for a real cuddle soon) my sweet schnufty bundle of a niece. i'll be back soon...

o-o - engrossed in a game with his animals. he picked each one up, sang a song about it going to school and then put it in the 'done' pile. "crocodile is learning to snap", "cow is learning to moo and make milk". he starts school on monday, my little big boy, kinda wish he had another year (or three, oh for a sensible scandinavian school system) of playing with the contents of his animal bag...

our lovely o-o is four! here he is wearing his birthday crown*, holding his new mammoth aloft and blowing out the candles on his dinosaur cake. "yesterday was my last day being three, mummy made me a crown with a lion on it". now he is a big boy so he can go turbo-super-fast on the roundabout in longford park, jump off high things and balance on uncle TK's slack line. we love him so, this cheeky, pixie-faced pyip...
